Ubiquitous Energy : Truly Transparent Solar
We worked with Ubiquitous Energy to create a new library of media to document their lab in Menlo Park, CA, their process in creating transparent solar cells, and produce a set of videos, motion graphics, and images to support the transition of a technology company in becoming a brand soon to be found in homes and offices worldwide. Look for more from ubiquitous.energy in the years to come. Video shot & edited by Brandon Moore, music by EDBL Music Collective. Photos below by Evan B. Dudley:
What will UE Power™ make possible?
UE Power™ harvests energy from infrared and ultraviolet light, while visible light passes through. UE Power’s™ selective harvesting of sunlight makes it possible to invisibly generate electricity. The transparent solar coating is made from light-absorbing dyes, sourced from non-toxic, earth-abundant materials, similar to the pigments found in fabrics and paints. This allows Ubiquitous Energy to integrate power generation into windows and the surfaces of everyday objects without compromising their aesthetic or functionality. Motion graphics by Artyom Egorov.
